Vásquez Residence explores contemporary residential architecture through a composition where geometry, proportion, and materiality converge to establish a refined and timeless architectural identity. The project derives its character from the balance between clean volumes and a carefully curated palette of materials, whose interaction brings depth, texture, and hierarchy to the main façade.The material strategy is rooted in the dialogue between locally sourced natural stone and black volcanic limestone. Rather than competing for attention, these materials establish a restrained contrast that enhances the stone's natural richness and texture while framing the main entrance with a strong yet elegant architectural presence. Every element was conceived to reinforce the volumetric composition of the residence, allowing the materiality itself to express the character of the project.

The entrance sequence becomes the defining spatial experience of the home. A bridge spanning a reflecting pool guides visitors toward the interior, creating a gradual transition between the exterior landscape and the living spaces. The presence of water introduces movement and reflection, while the architectural lighting accentuates the depth and texture of the materials, transforming the façade into a warm and serene composition after sunset.

The planters, clad in natural granite, are seamlessly integrated with the reflecting pool as part of a unified architectural composition. Cycad palms introduce verticality and an organic counterpoint that softens the solidity of the stone and the rigor of the geometry, creating a harmonious dialogue between architecture and nature.
