Bambini Playroom emerged from the opportunity to transform a 32 m² commercial space with a 4.30-meter clear ceiling height, whose spatial potential had not been fully realized.
The project explores the composition of children's spaces as environments that support learning, creativity, and development. Conceived as a contemporary educational setting, the proposal reimagines an underutilized interior—previously characterized by undefined and inactive areas—into a spatial strategy that maximizes every square meter. The result is a playful and pedagogical environment designed to encourage exploration, creativity, and spatial awareness through architecture. The project's material palette was developed with the intention of creating a calm, warm, and stimulating atmosphere in which every element contributes to the user's sensory experience. A composition of soft pastel tones and warm neutrals reduces visual noise while fostering an environment of tranquility that supports play, learning, and discovery. This palette was further enriched through the participation of children, whose color preferences became an integral part of the design process.
"The materiality is not intended to dominate the user, but to become the foundation of the experience. A serene palette, enriched by the perspective of the children themselves, creates an environment where light, color, and texture accompany play, while wood and steel establish a dialogue between warmth and protection—shaping a space that invites discovery, imagination, and a lasting sense of belonging."
